Each year, the York Region District School Board puts on an international conference, the Quest Conference, focused on student achievement and well-being with various themes. For the last two years, the focus has been on Deep Learning in a Digital World. During this time, I was involved in the planning, production and organization of the conference and learned so much about what happens behind the scenes. This year, I also had the opportunity to interview our keynotes and it was amazing learning not just from what they said, but how to conduct an effective interview for filming. I absolutely loved that opportunity.
When the keynotes present, I often have time to sit for a moment and listen. This past year, I took out my notebook and my pens and created a series of sketchnotes to share with others and to solidify my own learning.
