When I read professional literature, sometimes I will also create a sketchnote to help me focus on the main points of the text. Other times, I might use them to summarize my thinking on a topic such as the note on “What are the benefits of learning through a learning culture?” and “Assessment for & as learning”.

I have also included summaries of Steven Katz and Lisa Ain Dack’s book, Intentional Interruption and John Hattie’s resources, WHAT DOESN’T WORK IN EDUCATION: THE POLITICS OF DISTRACTION and WHAT WORKS BEST IN EDUCATION: THE POLITICS OF COLLABORATIVE EXPERTISE Another book I have summarized here is A New Culture of Learning: Cultivating Imagination for a World of Constant Change by Douglas Thomas and John Seely Brown. All of them are amazing resources for school leaders. Finally, I have included summaries of documents from the Ontario Institute for Education Leadership. They create documents such as the Ontario Leadership Framework and publish articles like the one I have summarized here by Ken Leithwood, Strong Districts and Their Leadership
